First of all, how are you and how has your 2022 been going so far?
I am fine, I look very much forward to come back to Toronto next week. 2022 started still with a lockdown here in Belgium, we re-opened 18 February again the clubs and since then I am very happy have been playing again every week in Europe and also in Mexico and Colombia. In April, I was back in US, I can’t wait to be back again next week in Toronto.

After a long closure, the world is finally opening up again. What have you missed most about DJing?
I missed DJing so much, because its my passion since so many years. I really missed a lot the human interaction, at a certain time I had enough from all streamings.

How would you describe your sound?
I can play in many different settings, straight and energetic techno without compromises but I also like to go deeper and like more melodic stuff. I like both ways and depends always which settings. You can listen to my two different radio shows: Materia Radioshow where I play straight energetic techno and my other Radioshow called "Elektronik Zoo” with a totally different style.

What releases do you have lined up?
I just had a release out on Watergate Berlin “From My Mind", then another one “Keep on Holding" on COD3QR, the new Label from Laurent Garnier and another one on MB Elektronics "Enter Nova”. In August, I will release a tune “KANAI” on Cocoon and in September I have another Release on my label MATERIA.

Who are your biggest musical inspirations (DJ or production)?
Laurent Garnier.

What are you planning on bringing to the table for your set this Friday night at A.M.Sessions?
I am very excited to come back to Toronto, its been a very long time, but I never prepare sets in advance. I always first check the vibe in club and then find my musical direction
