Eligibility

We’re inviting both amateur and professional DJs to apply for a chance to perform at The Comfort Zone (Toronto) during A.M. Sessions on Friday, February 20, 2026. Applicants must be 19 or older, reside in Ontario, and be available to perform on that date with no other bookings that weekend.

Previous Comfort Zone DJ Contest winners are not eligible.

Submission Deadline

Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Judging & Winner Announcement

Winners will be announced on Thursday, February 12, 2026 via The Comfort Zone’s social media channels. Five winners will be selected to perform sets at The Comfort Zone. Set times are non-negotiable. Judging criteria include style, creativity, mixing quality, and/or social engagement (plays, shares, interaction).

Mix Requirements

- Create a 45 minute mix that reflects your set style.
- The mix must be 100% your own work.
- No ghost producers, outside help, or previously released or live sets are permitted.
- Name your mix Your DJ Name - #czdjcontest012.
- Upload your mix to SoundCloud and complete the submission form below. Failure to submit the form will result in disqualification.

Genres

Submit one mix in House, Tech House, Progressive, or Techno. Other genres will not be considered.

Social Media Requirements

You must have at least one active social media account. Instagram is required. You must follow The Comfort Zone on Instagram and Facebook, where applicable.

Post your SoundCloud mix link on Instagram and Facebook, tag @thecomfortzoneto, and use #czdjcontest012. You must also post a video to your feed and story explaining what playing at The Comfort Zone means to you. Make sure to use the official artwork on SoundCloud and all related posts.

Compensation & Promotion

Winners will be paid for their performance. Each winner must bring at least 20 paid guests and will receive 2 guest list spots plus unlimited reduced guest spots.

All winners must help promote the event using the official lineup artwork (which will be provided). At least 5 social posts are required leading up to the event.

Disclaimer

Read carefully: Many applicants were disqualified last year for skipping steps.
Eligibility: By entering, you confirm that you meet all criteria and agree to the contest rules.
No cheating: Buying plays, using bots, or manipulating stats will result in immediate disqualification.
No YouTube rips: Only high-quality audio files (320kbps MP3 or WAV) are permitted.
Contingency: If a winner is disqualified or cannot perform, a replacement will be selected.
